Bersatu MPs and other lawmakers met for two hours today in Kuala Lumpur as Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's tenure looks to be cut short.
The meeting was held at the Perikatan Nasional headquarters in Publika. It began at 9am.
No official statement has been issued after the meeting.
However, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) and Alor Gajah MP Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof told Malaysiakini that Muhyiddin informed the meeting that he intends to resign tomorrow.
A special cabinet meeting is also scheduled for tomorrow.
If Muhyiddin's resignation is accepted by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, he would have served 15 months as prime minister - the shortest tenure in history.

On Aug 13, Muhyiddin, through a televised address, indirectly declared that he no longer commanded majority support from the MPs to be prime minister.
In that address, he urged the opposition to back him in an upcoming confidence vote in Parliament and promised a slew of reforms in return.
Muhyiddin invited opposition MPs to discuss the offer this week.
Only two Pakatan Harapan MPs - Ong Kian Ming (Bangi) and Tony Pua (Damansara) - urged the opposition to at least listen to the proposals.
However, every opposition party has rejected the offer.
